Paediatric Physiotherapy

At Core and Cradle Physiotherapy, we support children through a variety of orthopedic concerns, helping them move confidently and comfortably as they grow. Common conditions we treat include:

    •    Fractures and injuries – including rehab after casting or bracing

    •    Sports-related injuries – sprains, strains, and overuse injuries

    •    Growth-related conditions – like Osgood-Schlatter and Sever’s disease

    •    Torticollis – tightness or imbalances in the neck muscles affecting head movement

    •    Post-surgical rehabilitation – to restore strength and mobility after orthopedic procedures

    •    Scoliosis and posture concerns

    •    Gait abnormalities and leg length differences

    •    Flat feet or other foot alignment issues

    •    Congenital conditions – such as clubfoot and developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH)

Each treatment plan is customized to your child’s needs, using playful, hands-on therapy that supports healthy movement and development.

Orthopaedic conditions

Developmental Delay

At Core and Cradle Physiotherapy, we support babies and children who are taking a little longer to reach their movement milestones. Our goal is to help them build strength, coordination, and confidence through engaging, play-based therapy.

We commonly treat:

    •    Delays in motor milestones – like rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, or walking

    •    Low or high muscle tone – whether your child feels floppy or stiff when moving

    •    Poor balance or coordination

    •    Toe walking or unusual walking patterns

    •    Motor planning difficulties – trouble learning or performing new movements

    •    Favouring one side of the body or asymmetrical movement

    •    Limited interest in movement or play

Every child develops at their own pace—but if you have concerns, we’re here to guide and support your child’s journey toward confident movement.

Pelvic Health

Pelvic health issues in children are more common than you might think—and with the right support, they can be effectively managed. At Core and Cradle Physiotherapy, we provide gentle, kid-friendly care for:

    •    Bedwetting (enuresis)

    •    Constipation

    •    Frequent or urgent urination

    •    Daytime accidents or leakage

    •    Pain during peeing or pooping

    •    Abdominal or pelvic pain

    •    Toileting difficulties – including withholding or fear of using the bathroom

We take a compassionate and holistic approach to help your child feel safe, supported, and confident in their body. Therapy is always adapted to their age and comfort level, with plenty of parent involvement and education along the way.
